I have been travelling around Europe quite a lot lately and the topic of luxury accommodation is always on my mind. After trips to Paris, Barcelona and London in recent weeks, I have tested out a number of holiday apartments (vacation rentals for Americans) and the experience was very positive.

I love staying in good hotels. But, if the stay is for more than 3 days I then prefer the extra space, having a kitchen and saving on overall costs. I have found short-term holiday apartments to be a very good option.
